Twin day 2....Animal Kingdom...but breakfast with Mickey first

We found this great character breakfast at the Four Seasons on Disney property...so off we headed for our 730am breakfast. It was truly amazing.....from the characters to the breakfast....it was well worth the price. They had everything salmon/cream cheese/fruit/eggs/potatos/several meats/pancakes/cooked to order omlets/pastries...hot and cold/cereals/oatmeal/breads to toast..drinks...and these decadent little balls called Nutella Bomboloni's.....OMG!!! Those alone were worth it all....but it was all delish.....

Even a small table with PBJ's for the kids

Then the characters came ....we had.........Goofy....

Minnie..............

And Mickey......and they visited a lot...it was amazing.

Dylan even got a chance to see Minnie...via Aunt Britt's phone....wow....

Well, we thought since the boys liked the show at the Magic Kingdom and loved the parade that they would love seeing the characters up close...we were WRONG!!! Guess they need to be kept at a distance....maybe it will go better next time...but we still had a great time.

Well....it was good most of the time......

Uncle Denny liked Mickey..

Poor Minnie....and Jase!!!

and Mommy liked Mickey....but Witt and Jase liked him best when he was at someone elses table!!

At least Witt liked the yogurt....yummy in my tummy!!

It was really fantastic, and well worth it. We decided that other character meals at Disney hotels would have likely been more crowded, and perhaps the meal would not have been as good, but you might see more characters...but perhaps not. We did call some and they would not guarantee which characters would be at which place, and since these little guys just know the TOP characters, we decided to go with this, cause we were guaranteed Goofy, Minnie and Mickey...and it was a great decision. Next time, maybe something else....or maybe not.

Now....time to see Animal Kingdom.....

The Sky Writers are all above Disney....pretty cool

The Tree of Life is just amazing.....

Again..we had fast passes, but we'd missed one and It's  Bugs Life was practically empty, so we went for it. Jase tried out the 3D glasses...but not for long. Witt was not a fan, but we got through.

On to see some animals.....lots of cool birds as we walked through. The boys loved them.

Seems the day before was catching up with our little troopers and they were catching stroller naps...
so we went to see this animal show....Witt woke up and got to see these cool big birds.

With everyone awake it was time to go see some Monkey's....a Mama and her baby...we saw Daddy too....he was HUGE!!!

These guys were smaller, but very active and fun to watch...

Time for the big Safari Ride....look at the hippos...

Jase..."Wow Witt can you believe we're at Disney?"

Witt...."I know Jase..this is really cool...look at those neat animals, I wanna stay here!!"

Jase...."Mom...that giraffe is really close!!"

The Safari ride is always a highlight...well, if the animals cooperate and some did, some didn't but it was a great ride.
Off to Dino-Land......and to ride the Dinosaurs...

He's huge....and we love running around him....

"Mommy....I really want this hat!!!"........

...some dinner at Rainforest Cafe was the perfect end to our day....YUM!!

and one last picture in front of the really cool fish tank...

It had been a wonderful 2 days, but alas it was time to head to the condo....and head home the next day. What a fun 2 days.....thanks for letting us go...we'll see ya next time!!!

Disney.....The Magic Kingdom Twin Style...but first ....The Boathouse

I was so excited to be going to Disney with Britt and her twin 2yr olds..Witt and Jase....kid Disney and adult Disney are very different. Denny and I got to Orlando before Britt and we got checked into the condo and headed over to checkout the newly opened Boathouse Restaurant and Bar at Downtown Disney. It was surprisingly not too crowded, however, as the saying goes timing is everything...and we timed our arrival between lunch and dinner....PERFECT.

One big draw to The Boathouse is the Ampicar...will remind you of a Disney movie that features a car and a song...Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!! It has wheels and moves on dry land, but it also floats and moves in the water...and for $125/30min you too can have this experience....one spin around the lake.

Was lots of fun watching...we were not ready just yet to pay that much....maybe another time.

As you walked into the reataurant...it's just like the name said...everything Boathouse
This booth is made into the boat...very cool.

We walked through to the dockside bar.....found some bar stools and held them down for a few hours....the weather was perfect and it was a wonderful afternoon...

There were all these super cool old boats in the water. Some tied to the docks, some up on floaters..it was great

Check out the funky doors....

A pink boat.....wow....

And a boat that plays music........

Denny enjoyed just sitting and chillin'....

From the bar stool you could turn around and see the main building...

We both got some great burgers, then we split this cornbread shortcake...WOW...just WOW!!

It was about dusk when we left and lights were beginning to come on....very cool, lights in the water.

And as you looked the other way....the balloon was flying and you could see more of downtown Disney on the water....

Cute little boat for one sitting outside the restaurant on display..

More lights.....it looks nice lit up..

We made a few stops on the way back to the condo and got there just before Britt and the boys...was a challenge to get them settled down to go to bed, but we finally did....the next day Magic Kingdom..

We were up early and headed out...we parked and took the ferry boat to the park..
Britt was explaining things as we passed them....

and the excitement began............

It was time to go see the Magic Kingdom.....we had some fast passes, so we headed towards those rides first. However....there was some dancing in the streets we stopped to watch for a moment.

Peter Pan.....and It's a Small World....and our day began, and the lines were not bad, even for rides without Fast Passes...woohoo!!!

The Little Mermaid ride was so cute...

Jase wanted to ride the Merry-go-round...so Nanny took him...I think he liked it!!

Time for Dumbo....

Mommy and Witt were on the other side...but we could see them..

They were taking a picture of us....LOL

The Pooh ride was broken so we stopped for a little lunch first.....then ....
(thanks Mom for bringing our favorites!!)

headed to Main Street for the show.....it was a hit.,,"look Mommy it's Gikka Mouse!!"

Jase was always ready to dance...

And the show was wonderful...ending with a few fireworks...

After the crowd cleared out, we were able to get the perfect Castle picture..

Everyone loved the show, and we'd had some lunch so was time to enjoy more...off to the train, a nice slow ride for everyone to relax...but first an "us-ey"....

Just before the parade we finally found a cast member that had some buttons....and everyone should have these on their first visit!!

The train ride was great....then it was time for the parade....everyone loves a parade.

Beauty and The Beast

Frozen...Anna and Elsa.....

Witt had a great seat on Uncle Denny's lap

Repunzel.........

The Little Mermaid......

Peter Pan......and Tink on the back

Merida...from the movie Brave....

Fairy God-Mothers........

Humm....don't remember this movie, but these guys wer cool....and so was the dragon...

Jiminey Cricket....hadn't seen him in a while....

Some of the 7 Dwarfs....

Jase watched with Mommy....they waved at all the characters....and ate fruit.

Donald and Daisy Duck....

Chip and Dale.........

And the star of the show....Mickey Mouse...and Minnie......

That was the end....but we all loved it........

Now it was getting to be dinner time....we decided on Tony's Italian. It usually has a wait and a line, but it was truly a Magical day at the Magic Kingdom and we had no wait. Was nice to sit and recharge a bit....the boys were doing great considering an early morning and no nap. Jase wanted to eat the lemons they brought for our water....we told him they were not oranges but he could still have them....it was hilarious watching him until he finally decided he'd had enough.

Nope, didn't take much to entertain us....we big folks were getting tired too....but we were hanging.

After dinner, we decided to go try for a few more rides....

we got a fast pass to Buzz Lightyear and to kill time while waiting, we rode the people mover and sat through this comedy show...they did pick on Britt and the twins...but I was so into watching I forgot to take the picture of them on the screen...but it was a cute show..

After the show we rode Buzz and maybe Denny and I rode Space Mountain...then it was about time to give it up...the little guys had done great, but tomorrow was a character breakfast then Animal Kingdom so we needed some downtime. It look the little guys about 5min to fall asleep once in the car...so the big folks justified a quick stop at Steak n' Shake for some shakes, then headed back to the condo. We all hit the bed pretty quick...but it had been a great day.
