Viterbo, lunch and to the Villa to Cook

First...a few things we have learned about Italy.....

We were told on day one, you will not see Italy, you will experience it.....this has been oh so true!!!

1. they are crazy drivers

2. They start early, take a 4hr break in the middle of the day, and are open again until 8p.

3. Dinner never starts before 8p.....

4. There is always LOTS of wine

5. People are charming and really try to help you

We turned in some clothes to get laundered today and we'll be fine now.

Our shuttle left at 930a again for a short ride to Viterbo....another lovely medievel town with lots of charm. Ian was our guide today and a few in our party stayed back. The days are long and we are all getting short on sleep. We did some walking touring and a little shopping. We didn't find much to buy, but enjoyed our time.

Then we were brought to the villa for another cooking class.

Tonight was bruschetta di Stracchino Pancetta....awesome. We MADE pasta...gosh that's hard....might do that again but had a blast doing it once. We made a Bolognese sauce and spinach and Panna Cotta for dessert....wonderful. Lots of wine and lots of fun.

We finally have our Paris flight booked so we feel good about that.

We are truly enjoying this...and love the relaxed time at the villa.

We are having an earlier nite......so good night from our now warm apartment.

We finally got our heat fixed.
