Christmas 2014.....wild and crazy.....

Happy 2015....by now you have all figured out that I run a bit behind on my posts....but I eventually get er' done. So after our trip to Disney and 2 quick nites at home we headed to ATL. I attended a play with friends and Denny headed to the Falcon game. On Monday evening we worked the Delta Holiday Military Lounge. We've been involved with this for about 6 years now and help with it each year as much as we can. We send baked goods and volunteer our time where we can....it's wonderful to be able to serve those that serve us all year.
Denny came back home for a few days and I stayed in ATL to help my Mom get ready for Christmas. She loves to do so much she generally runs behind..... I was able to stay, so I did. The week was busy with helping Mom and my sisters and working. On Saturday Denny came back to be in ATL until after Christmas.
On Sunday evening Denny, Mom, and Shea and I went to the Botanical Gardens for the Christmas Light show. It was really good.

The train displays were amazing.....

This light show to music was really cool

 The dragon flys were amazing....

This dog was just too cute.....we has HUGE.

The lights were great....

It was a little cool, but was a really fun evening. After the lights we indulged and had dinner at The Varsity....oh those chili dogs and onion rings are the best. Then we headed home.
I worked and helped get ready for Christmas. Christmas Day was actually very quiet, Mom, Denny and I were home alone and kept getting ready for Christmas, thta was going to be celebrated the next day. We even went to the Waffle House for breakfast....maybe a little sad for Christmas Day but we were rally glad they were open. We learned that Christmas Day is the busiest day of the year for them....WOW...now that's sad,  but very interesting. Later that evening we finally had everything ready for Christmas and we played a game. We played until we were all tired and decided it was bed time.
The next day everyone came over....all 23 of us and it was Christmas Day. We had a ball....

Witt wasn't too sure about all the kisses..........

"Uncle Brad...I'm tired of the cereal mush...how about some fudge, or maybe some of what Mom is mixing up in that blender,  I won't tell Mom....pleaseeee?? Maybe my twin on the other side of you will eat that last spoonful... but....I'm done!!"

"OK Jase you can give me a kiss if you get me some fudge...come on cousin Jase, you can walk....I don't do that yet....help me out"

"I know how it works Shea-Shea....thanks I like books"

All the toys and presents........the kids, and big kids, had a blast.

Quinton got something dinosaur.....yahoo

  "Look Mom...it's so cool"

"Grandma....they won't let me have what I want, can you please fix that for me??"

Margarittaville.....here we come!!

Chad and Larry get their marshmellow guns for their guy week of fun...

And no guy week is complete without camo snuggies......with rear trap doors.....oh my

"Thanks Muma...we love our scarves and hats....we're stylin' now!!!"

Kelley got another Disney ornament....she does love Mickey!!

Denny got some nice clothes

Mom got a great picture of her with Brad at his wedding....

Mom opened up her 75th Birthday Party book....a labor of love....it was fun making it.

I sure like all these books...

"Ahhhh, that's funny Shea-Shea"

"Hi everybody, Daddy just got me all dressed up after my nap....I love my Christmas dress....Merry 1st Christmas to me and my sister"

"If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way your wife told you to"......what a sweet gift Cindy, looks like Brad is catching onto this marriage stuff!!

Debbie's turn to open......love the jewelry....

Brad opens his all "Shark Tank" gifts.....

Our little Princesses had to go to bed, so we took a little break....

Meanwhile...Quinton thought his dinosaur should "get" Muma.....

It was a wonderful day. We ended with our Prime Rib dinner...delish. Thanks everyone it was a great Christmas.

The next day I went over to play with all the babies....seems this little Princess got some golden tennis shoes...

"Love the new swing Grandma and Grandpa...thank you"

I was pooped at the end of the day, but had a blast playing with all 6 kiddos....it's very busy.

The next day we went to a party of our old camping friends. When we were kids we did a lot of camping with families that were members of a YMCA...had been many years since we'd seen some of these folks...it was great to see everyone.

And so, another Christmas season was gone. It was fun, fast and furious....and it was time to head back to FL...time for a quiet New Year's at home.
We were both very glad to get home. It took a few days to get caught up on things. We were invited to a neighbors house for New Year's Eve....that was very nice. We learned a new card game and had a great time...thanks Dan and Cheryl.
New Year's Day brought The Rose Bowl Parade. We watched intently since niece Ashley was marching in the parade with her band. Denny cooked us breakfast and it was a great slow day. That evening he'd made reserv at Fleming;s for dinner....wow....I could get used to this....what a great start to a new year.
It had been a whirlwind 3-4 weeks. It had been fun and now it was time to start a new year..
Happy 2015 everyone...may this year be all you want it to be.
