The weather is generally just perfect in the 70's, so it makes for some wonderful outdoor activities.
I really liked this1930's Chevy Popcorn Wagon....
Is being operated by the 3rd generation of Thompson's...very cool
We don't usually see Military Vehicles..
And a fes more...my the time and money old car hobbies must take..
Not sure how this one didn't always scrape on the road..
Double the toys, double the fun.....
Something like this, is what I think might find its way into our garage one day.
After the show we decided to get some lunch at Woody's on the water...since it was a gorgeous day, it was packed and lots of things were happening. These animals were on display as an effort to collect a few donations to help wildlife preservation...
A hoot owl and a tiny screech owl...
It had been a wonderful day, but was time to head for home....
The next weekend was a total work around the house weekend for us....got lots done.
My Mom came into towan and it was time to play again. We ventured out on a gorgrous Saturday to Lakewood Ranch. They were having a variety of entertainment on Main Street. From animals to singing and dancing...
We saw this African Lizard first....wow...glad he's not a Florida Resident..
He came from Jungle Gardens along with a snake and a hedge hog. Mote Marine was there with a touch tank and a mobile aquarium.
There were stages on both ends of the street. One end seemed to be more high school and ballet type, the other end was more variety.
These kids did a great job.
Then we saw dancing from a dance school....there appeared to be mostly seniors....
This little guy did a great job dancing with his Mom
And...much to our surprise we got to hear some really good Barbershop Quartet singing...Mom really liked that and we all miss is since my Dad used to sing in a chorus...these guys are doing a big show at the end of Feb, perhaps we'll go.
And so that ended January....a wonderful month.
February starts with Mom's birthday on the 2nd where we plan to take her to the Clearwater Aquarium to meet Winter the dolphin...the star of the movie Dolphin Tale....stay tuned...I'm sure I'll have some pictures to share!!!
