Nanny and Shea-Shea Camp...does it get any better than that???

May was plenty busy, so we tried to take it easy in June...
Then in July I flew to ATL to help sister Shea hold Nanny/Shea-Shea camp.....something our niece came up with to get a little help with son Dylan while he's out of school for the summer. He's 4 and full of energy....we're not...so it was an adventure!!! They picked me up at the airport and we headed over towards the Delta Jetbase to watch the airplanes take-off and land....wow, that was cool. We waved at all the planes that went by....sometimes the pilots waved back.

Next it was time to visit the Firestation....these folks could not have been any nicer....

Dylan wouldn't wear the 'real' fireman hat...so Shea-Shea did....but he did like the bag they gave him.

Check out these big hoses....it was heavy, but he liked holding it.

Wow...they even had an ambulance...the nice guy showed him all kinds of "gadgets"...Dylan explained that he'd had a sleep study done and he saw some of the same things there....what a memory!!

Back to the fire truck....look at all the stuff they can pack into a small place...

Sitting the driver's seat.....I'm cool

AND....I got to make the siren go...

Whew...that was a lot for the first day of "Nanny/Shea-Shea Camp".....time for some Waffle House dinner and home to swim and play in Muma's pool.

Dinner was good...then we played for a while, then was time for bed..with no nap all day, bedtime was thankfully easy.
The next morning we were up and out to church then we headed to Savannah to Britt's house where Dylan could play with cousins Quinton/Witt/Jase for a few days.
Britt had a great dinner waiting on us....then the boys got some pool time....wear them before bedtime...it worked!!!

Mommy / Aunt Britt read a story and then it was sleepy time...

The next day Witt and Jase went to school and Shea and I took Quin and Dylan to a water park. After 4.5 hrs of waterslides, lazy river and water spouts we headed home. Britt had made some dinner for the boys and we big girls were heading out for Motown Monday concert by the water....it was a gorgeous night...the mon was huge...

we had a great dinner at Plum's and then headed to the park for the music...met up with some friends and really enjoyed the evening.

The next day I had to work 4hrs...so Witt and Jase went to school and Britt and Shea took Q and Dylan shopping and for a little play time. They came back and got me, then we went to get Witt and Jase and we headed for the bouncy house for some before dinner fun.

Look at me...I can do everything Quinton does!!!

Going pretty fast!!!!

Love the slides....and love the playhouse.

Come on Jase....let's get in the house!!!

Right next door was a Mexican restaurant for a good quick dinner....then back home, a quick shower and off to bed....tomorrow we head back to ATL.

We big folks got a little time to visit and then we too hit the bed....slept good until Dylan showed up about 5a....oh the life of a Mother....glad I'm an aunt!!! We finally got up around 630a and got the day going. I had to work and we had to pack and drive home...oh thank heavens for the Veriazon hotspot.
Shea got us packed up and off we went.....we made good time and got to Deb's (Grandma's) about 4p. Just in time for some Gwyn and Vivi play time, dinner and bath time.
They had a ball getting into that box and popping out.....what a game.....

Finally it was time for the old tired Great-Aunts to head home.....we'd had fun and it had been busy, but we both had to work the next day so we headed out.
I caught the late flight home and got back to FL around midnight...I was whopped. I was glad I'd gone, but glad to get home....
Until my next Atlanta visit...be sweet kiddos!!!
