Senior Night of Inspiration and Graduation....

We slept quick and kept rolling....from Eagle Scout Ceremony to  Senior night of Inspiration, to graduation...here we come.
I worked the entire time, thankfully is easy from Mom's...but I'd work and we'd rush out the door to the next event. Monday nite was Sr. Night of Inspiration. A nice program, some of the students performed...wow were they talented. Then off to $3 Cafe for dinner...

Graduation Invitation....in 4 days....

We had Tues and Wed with nothing sched, so we enjoyed dinner at home, a movie night and some down time. Thur we had to attend a funeral...and Fri was graduation at 10a.

Graduation is ticketed and on Thur Chad told Shea and I he'd gotten us tickets....but Denny still needed one. I prayed and believed He would handle, and He did. I chatted with a very nice woman that had an extra....thank you God....so we all got to go.

As Denny and I made our way inside we saw them all lined up outside...over 600 of them...yikes!!

By chance we walked past Chad....cool

With ticket and program inside we headed for our seats..

Show time...............there was a ton of them...

Several really good speeches by students and faculty...

And the Sr. Chorus sang...was really good. Chad's friend and fellow Eagle Scout Sameer was one of them....he had shaved his beard since Sun...hardly recognized him...

A few more speeches...then diploma time...

Chad McKinnon Hall...Class of  2019

A hug for a fav teacher...

Headed back to his seat...

Good Bye Walton....hello UNG here comes Chad....!!!!

Move those tassels and we are DONE!!!

Took us a minute to get outside...but we finally found him...
Muma first...

Big sister...

Nanny and Uncle Denny

Aunt Shea - Shea

Mom and Dad...

Was a really warm day, so time to head to Longhorn for lunch...
Muma gave him a knife that was Pupa's that he'd been eyeing since he was a little guy...pretty sure he can handle it now...

She's pointing out inscription that is on the knife explaining more about it...

That was a really special gift....the others of us had already given him gifts, so it was time to eat.
Lunch was delish, then time to head to the airport for us....been in ATL for 2 weeks, time to head home. It has been wonderful and we got to do so much.....so glad we came.
Was Fri of Memorial Day weekend and a bit of a challenge to get on a flt but we made it. Was late when we both got home, but we were home. Thanks all...it was a wonderful 2 weeks..see ya next time !!!

Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony...WOW!!!

We've all been waiting on this a long time...and we very excited to finally be attending.

Chad actually finished his Eagle Project and passed the interviews in Summer of 2017, but has been waiting on his good buddy Sameer to finish so they could do this together....and was it ever impressive. Shea has worked her tail off getting ready for this. From photo albums that go all the way back to Cub Scouts, to table decor...no detail was left undone....and it showed. The decorations were fantastic, and every table was unique.

We even had Boy Scout trail mix....

Chad's "brag" table showed all his amazing accomplishments....

The cake was just amazing...

With all this ready to go, was time for the ceremony...Kelley did an amazing job on the program.

Chad's Eagle project was amazing, we were so glad to have been a part of it.

And to hand out the programs...Witt and Jase, new little Scouts...great job guys

And Quinton was also going to help in the ceremony and he was getting his instructions, and set up was being completed.

It was finally time to start...
The ceremony was so impressive, many people spoke...they all had amazing things to say about these 2 young men.

It was very ceremonial...and done very well...

When they said "all scouts rise" Jase joined right in and did as he was supposed to to honor the flag. Perhaps an "Eagle" in the making.

The red (for courage), the white (for honor), and blue (for loyalty) candles were lit...and stayed so through the entire ceremony.

The ordering to bring in the boys to be honored as Eagles...

The were escorted in...Chad and Sameer

Chad ask Harry Harris to speak on his behalf...they had formed an amazing bond...he did a great job

Then it was time to Light the Eagle Trail...Quinton helped, he did a great job

Sameer's older brother Saajan, also an Eagle, spoke

Mr. Ott had some great things to say...

Time for presentation of Eagle Certificates, and pins....then pins for parents.

Anyone that was an Eagle was invited to come forward to say the Scout pledge...so cool

Chad gets his Eagle pin...

Chad and Sameer each light an Eagle Candle

Now it's time for the parents to receive their Eagle pins...

Kelley first...

Then Larry...

Then it was time for several special guests to speak....and present awards, letters and certificates.

Then 1 parent from each Eagle got to speak, Kelley did a great job...

His fav leader Mr. Harris was very pleased...

Sameer's Dad spoke then the Eagles got a chance to speak...Chad did an awesome job...

And they each gave mentor pins to those that had helped them along this path...Chad gave out 3...

Mr. Harris

 Mr. Ott                                                                                                       Mr. Reale

Then Sameer spoke...he too did a great job

He gave out 1 mentor pin....to Chad....no one had ever seen that before. Very cool and very unexpected.

Then the ceremony closed...it was just amazing. So very glad we were able to attend. Then we took a few family pics and attended the fun reception...well done Chad and Sameer...well done.

Cousin time...

All the Scouts in the family...

The only other Eagle in the family...Dave

Very proud moment for all of us....

Shea-Shea gave him an uncirculated  silver 1/2 Dollar from the year he actually got his Eagle 2017...pretty cool

It had been a long but wonderful day...we headed home and unloaded the mounds of stuff from the cars and collapsed....tomorrow nite we attend The Night of Inspiration for Chad, before graduation in 5 days....busy week.
