First glimpse...
Not a great pic, but documented we were there...
Love this angle...and all the "animals" that are heading to the ark..
They admit this may not be exactly how the real Ark was shaped, but is a best guess based on many studies. The Bible only gave a few specific instructions on how the Ark was to be built. Beyond that it's not documented. We can only assume God and Noah talked a lot or Noah had a great mind and God's trust.
We didn't stop at the building when we got off the bus we wanted all the time possible on The Ark...I can shop later...so we are about to board The Ark...
These 12 stones represent the 12 Tribes..look up Joshua 4....a wonderful memorial.
The winding ramp that leads to the inside. We went at a perfect time of year. You can tell by all the winding lines the potential for crowds...but we walked right in. It was wonderful.
Right inside the door you realize the greatness of the Ark..
The call to build The Ark
First thing, they tell you they have taken some "artistic license" with some things to make this all possible. The size is as exact as they can make it, but they had to decide what cubit measure Noah used. You do truly wonder about many things, but they did a wonderful job of "filling in the gaps" creatively and as realistically as possible.
To tell the story they even gave Noah's wife a name....the Bible does not.
Recreating animals of that time is difficult, but they have done much investigating and have done a great job using that data.
And this is what the inside may have looked like...jars for storing water and other things. But there is a theory they had a way to capture rain water...after all there was a flood going on!!
Cages for animals...
Noah and his family pray before closing the Ark.
Were insects on the Ark...likely not....
A look up through the middle....wow
Seven by Seven or Two by Two...just how many animals did Noah bring on the Ark.
Read Genesis 7....will be eye opening...
The Ark had no metal...but this is just an amazing massive structure...very impressive.
Yep...Dino's were on the Ark...but likely baby ones due to space...but that's just one theory.
Many hallways were just like this...storage for many things...
I never wondered about this before...hmmm
Very interesting on animal "typing"
And this is how they determined how big to make the ark and what shape.
They did use the royal cubit measurement to determine the size.
Wow...that's a lot of animal kinds....never realized..
The facts about how it all fits, from small animal cages, to people, to food, the waste removal...it was a fine tuned machine and it worked.
And it took many yrs to build....
This model was just so cool...
I'm sure there were no lights...but they had some way of being able to see.
He is taking a load of food to a chute that goes down into an animal cage..
Interesting info on animal typing or kinds..
Just how could it be done....only through God.
Just like at The Creation Museum, The Ark also gives many fact using apologetic thoughts to explain and prove The Bible is real, and God is awesome.
Yep, all kinds of animals were there...
Pouring the food into the cages...
Fresh air was important, but never gave it much thought...
Noah helped explain a few things....
Noah and his wife in his "office"
To keep everything working, there had to be repair "shops" on the Ark...again, something i never thought about.
In God's command to build the Ark he spoke about the great door to be built in the side of the Ark...it was on the side and it was HUGE.
Nothing is ever mentioned in the Bible about the living quarters on the Ark...this is all an educated guess...but looks wonderful...all perhaps very likely.
The kitchen, dining and common area..
lots of supplies were needed...
Being able to grow more food was essential...
Trying to catch a bird flying around..
Evolution or The Bible..
Poor silly people that deny it happened....
Just the facts...
Fossils don't lie...there was a great flood..
Why we have so many languages and spread across the earth.
After the flood we could eat meat...
There is a "museum"/tribute to missionaries that were the 1st to enter a region to spread the "good news"...so many gave their lives for this work
One last picture up the middle and we walked off the Ark...tired, happy and full of inspiration...it was all and more I'd imagined it would be
A few more outside shots and one of the great door............
The ramp leading to the great door
It's just amazing...
One last full shot and it was time to head out....
Thank you God for enabling many people to create this amazing Ark....
This had been a wonderful day...a bit tired but very inspired we headed back to the hotel. Ate some leftovers and rested, it had been a day of walking for sure.
Had been a wonderful trip, from visiting with family to The Creation Museum and The Ark...but it was time to head home...next trips will be holidays in ATL....
