The lady there was very nice and made some great suggestions....we were off.
We were going to drive a big loop, and then, instead of taking the interstate into Salt Lake, we were going to drive more of Guradsmans Pass....
Our first little town....Francis....LITTLE is the key word, we didn't even stop....
Then we rode beside the same lake we'd seen the day before from the train...
In fact all the towns were so small...we just rode right through and decided to head on towards Guardsmans Pass....it was more beautiful around every turn.
We'd actually seen some snow flurries a few days ago, but nothing was sticking on the ground, but way up here where there's not as much direct sun....some did stick....
These were big mountains, lots of curves, some narrow roads, but not many guard rails....not something you'd do with snow on the ground but it was really cool now. At the start of the Pass and at the end. there were arms they could put across the road to stop you when the roads got bad enough
As always..the pictures don't do it justice, butwe were really glad we'd come this way...but we'd do the interstate back....it would be dark!!
We got to Doug and Cindy's house around 6p...had some wine and snacks and headed out for dinner. Went to this great place, and sat outside...it was so good to see them, it had been a very long time....too long.
Thanks for the visit guys...hope to see you in FL in January when ya wanna run from the cold!!!
Another slow but really nice day full of adventure.......
