Park City...Day 2...A lazy Sunday...

We slept great, but I think having an early morning yesterday, long flight and a 2hr time change caught up to us...we moved REALLY slow this morning. It was a little cool out and I had all the ingredients to make our favorite hot chocolate recipe, so I made a big pot of that...YUM!! Denny cooked us breakfast and we did lots of not much until around noon. We finally got dressed and went out. We went back to Main St, but this time we went in the stories. Did lots of window shopping and just strolling. We saw these neat candles in one shop, but they were a bit more than we wanted to pay for a candle, but they never burn out....they're called Forever Candles...just keep adding the oil.

We went into a "has a little of everything" store and saw these cool old skis for sale. Seems folks use them for decor and even make cool furniture out of them.

This pair of skis was used by Captain Scott in the early 1900's on his exploration of Antarctica...these were not for sale....but was a cool display.

This same shop had this awesome mount....

and this nice canoe being used as decor. It was a really neat shop.

I loved this plaque and started to buy it...lots of truth to what it says.

The fur store down the street got a chuckle out of us...I suppose these folks worry about keeping everything warm...sorry about the glare on the window, but I bet you get the idea.

Eventually we stopped at 501 Main for some awesome soup. That's all we wanted and it was great. As we were finishing our bowls we were offered a 2nd bowl for free, WOW...never had that offer before, too bad we were too full to go for it.

You know I to stop at the Chocolate Shop...only got a few things...it was yummy

We stopped in this small park to listen to these kids play and sing, they were pretty good. Seemed like anyone that wanted to could take their turn for some stage time, several different folks entertained as folks went buy,

This was Loosey the Moose..town icon.....

This brass pig decorated for Halloween was just adorable,,

And another bronze...this was a man that worked for the telephone company and made his living skiing the mountains in the winter on his handmade 10' skis to repair the poles....

And so Sunday was a nice slow day....we kind of knew our way around a bit and thankfully it was another great weather day. We found out we got very lucky on the weather...it's usually lots colder and snowing....wooohoo...glad we beat the odds on that.
