Fabulous 50's

We woke up and headed to the dining room for breakfast....but first we enjoyed a message from Paul.
I'd love to hear him preach an entire sermon, I think he'd be great.

Then after his short message, came breakfast....Muffins, biscuits with sausage gravy, egg/ham/bacon casserole, hashbrowns...and........

Fruit pizza for dessert.......soooooo good.

After breakfast we waited on the front porch for Floyd and Marilyn...they arrived about 1030a and we headed to Sugarcreek.....today....there were LOTS of cars.

We walked past the fire station....I loved the murial on the building....fancy firehouse.

Denny and Floyd check them out.....

This old gal was driving one car.......

Yep there was even an old ambulance........compete with a nurse.

Loved the paint job on this truck....

This old truck was too cool.........

Complete with a Jed Clampet truck....

Thanks to a big breakfast we were not hungry, but they were, so we headed to a small restaurant a few blocks down the road....in fact it was about the only restaurant there. After a bite, we stopped to watch the largest working Cuckoo Clock...was pretty cool

After this we wandered through a few antique stores, but these had old toys and gadgets, not funiture. Denny and Floyd both say things they remembered from childhood days. Lots of fun. Then we needed to head back to Charm, as they had to head home. We drove back to Sugarcreek, got something to eat at the fair again and saw a few more cars. Then we headed back to the big inviting porch for animal watching.
The huge front lawn has fenced in pasture and I had to go get some pictures of the llamas....there were 3 of them.

They are just so cool, but not very friendly......

Next we got in some good bird watching....there were lots of birds, you just had to sit quietly and wait....

I was liking my humming bird pics....they are hard to get.

In flight.........heading back to the nest.

We had a few evening dessert snacks and headed to our room. The next day was Sunday and since the owners, Paul and Naomi, are conservative Mennonite there is not a big breakfast. They have several cereals, sweet rolls, fruit and plenty out for you to self serve, there is just not a hot breakfast. We had asked Paul if we could attend church with them on Sunday and he said sure...but we must leave at 930a.....so we had to roll in the morning...so it was time to get some rest and start packing. After church we were driving to Zanesville to spend one night with Floyd and Marilyn.
