Top of the Rock museum....and Samson

After a good nites rest we were up and out...there was not enough time yesterday to tour the museum at Top of the Rock so we are headed back to do that, have lunch at Arnie's Barn (Mexican) and then go see Samson at Sight and Sound theatre...another fun day....The museum is 35k sq feet and runs under all the restaurants and shops above it...it's huge.

First thing inside the front door.....

A real papoose.

Can't leave the horses out...they need to be dressed up too...

 Spades...wow

A ladies saddle...

Annie Oakley....

Gotta have The Duke....

The buffalo were killed in large numbers. That man was standing on top of a mound of buffalo hides...geez...

What an amazing place we were there 2hrs and could have spent 4 easily...we had to basically run through the last few rooms as we wanted to eat lunch and then make our show...it is a must see if you are ever in the area.

Off to lunch at Arnie's Barn
This restaurant was constructed using wood from a barn that had been in Arnold Palmer's home town of Latrobe, PA..it was gorgeous.

The Green Jackets....so cool...Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus ....

We had a wonderful lunch...the menu was made of wood...we sat outside, the weather was perfect..

Guacamole sampler....YUM!!!

Such a cool inside....

and mounted on the back wall of the bar was a fish caught by Jack Nicklaus...a giant Black Marlin 1358 lbs.
Caught at The Great Barrier Reef, Australia..1978

After a wonderful lunch was time to head to Sight and Sound Theatre for their production of Samson...it was a massive building we could see it about a mile away....

The Lion and the Lamb...

A HUGE wrap around theatre...one place where balcony seats are best....

A little pre show entertainment...

It was an amazing show...would love to see their production of Noah..have heard it's amazing, maybe another trip.
We'd had another fun and busy day, we headed home early, rented a movie and ate some leftovers for dinner...happy to be home a bit early....

Tomorrow...The Branson Belle Showboat....
